Job Process
At Advanced Restoration we take each project seriously because we know it directly affects the relationship you have with your insured. This motivates us to do the kind of work that will reflect positively on you. Your involvement is important to us.
- Providing your clients with a quick response is one of our most invaluable services. We offer immediate attention for emergency situations and are available 24 hours a day and seven days a week. We are committed to contacting your client within 24 hours for all non-emergencies. Estimators can be reached individually on their cell phones for job updates.
- Advanced Restoration utilizes one of the most common estimating databases used in the industry. Repair estimates are provided with quantities, unit prices, photographs, and a sketch of the area. All estimates are sent to you for approval.
- Our estimators will handle the scheduling of all the repairs. They will make an appointment with your client, review the damage to their property and answer any questions. The estimator will create a realistic timeline with the property owner to coordinate job completion.
- Digital photographs are generated for each project. These images are e-mailed to you for your review. Thermographic images can also be taken for detailing damage. These images can be sent to you upon request.
- Unless otherwise specified, all invoices are sent to your client. While it is your policyholder’s responsibility to coordinate payment with you, Advanced Restoration is happy to assist.
Safety Tips
- Protecting Your Knees
- Wear hard plastic or leather outer-layer knee pads if you know you will be doing a lot of kneeling on the job.
- Stretch your legs prior to work and throughout the work day to prevent the chance of straining your knees.
- Do not lock your knees at any time to prevent the joint from hyper-extending.
- Respiratory protection:
- Be sure to have the proper respirator when in contact with toxic substances like mold.
- Beware of potential breathing hazards as they are not always easily identified.
- Dust masks are to be used when working in an environment where small particles are airborne such as saw dust and dirt. However, they are not approved to protect against asbestos or any other hazardous materials.
- Avoid falls
- Wear adequate foot gear for appropriate traction.
- Be sure work areas are well lit and cleared of clutter.
- Do not carry loads that block your view of the ground.
- Check weather forecasts so you don’t put yourself in a dangerous situation.
- Ladder Safety
- Always inspect a ladder before using for missing rungs or defective components.
- Never stand on the top two steps of a ladder.
- Always stabilize the ladder before climbing on it.
- Use the three-point ladder technique. Make sure at least three limbs are on the ladder at all times; two feet and one hand, or one foot and two hands.
- Power Tool Safety
- Eye protection should be worn while using power tools.
- Read and understand the owner’s manual for all equipment.
- No matter how long you’ve used a tool, take caution. Overconfidence can lead to injuries.
- Know where your hands are at all times!
- Communication
- Working as a team to complete a project increases performance and productivity.
- Communicate schedules and organize them so they flow in a proper timeline.
- Essential information should also be communicated in a written format to prevent confusion.
