Safety Tips
There are three major business entities to protect in the event of a disaster: People, property, and production.
- People: Prepare your employees
- Provide accessible emergency contact information
- Communicate your disaster plan
- Have emergency supplies in the office and in each employee's vehicle
- Property: Prepare your building
- Bolt file cabinets and furniture to the walls or floor
- Store important computer data off-site
- Plan for at least one different location to hold business if yours is unavailable
- Make sure you have proper insurance
- Maintain vehicle safety
- Production: Prepare your business continuity
- Prevent upstream losses
- Upstream losses are losses suffered if your main supplier is affected by a disaster. If your agency relies on products or services by another company, you could experience upstream losses if that company cannot deliver. Expand your vendor options.
- Prevent downstream losses
- Downstream losses are losses that occur when your main customers in the community are affected. If your agency supplies products or services to a community or business that is shut down due to an earthquake, flood or fire, your sales will suffer and you will undergo a downstream loss.
- To minimize your company’s risk, be sure your contacts are prepared for upstream and downstream losses as well.

Our estimators can give their expert opinion about the amount of damage, and a general idea about whether or not the cost will be over the insured’s deductible. This free consultation can be performed over the phone, or in person, and is designed to help your client decide whether to take the next step in the claims process.
Q. How soon can you help my client?

Q. Why isn't Advanced Restoration on my preferred company list?
- A: While Advanced Restoration respects the decision companies make to use preferred lists, we believe the only way to be truly fair and unbiased in the claims process is if we represent ourselves as a third party.
